How important are your brothers and sisters to you?

Our relationships with our siblings are some of the most important and enduring of our lives. Our siblings understand us and our experiences intimately. They have experienced what we have experienced, they are the same yet different. Siblings have historically being separated when coming into foster care as the logistics of caring for multiple children is a challenge for some programs.

Key Assets runs Tasmania’s only dedicated program to help keep brothers and sisters together in foster care.

Everyone can make a contribution to keeping brothers and sisters together in foster care, whether full time, part time or in an emergency capacity. If after reading this you feel you could be a sibling group carer, please contact me for a no obligation discussion on 1800 93 2273 or email me at

I look forward to hearing from you.
